Both professional races put a huge distance between nearest competition, but that just meant races for 2nd and 3rd place were more exciting.
n the men's category, Italian Daniel Niero set an infernal pace right from the start that his rivals simply could not match. Over nine laps, Niero managed to lap the entire field and took a decisive victory with a time of 00:36:19. Behind him, a tactical battle played out for the remaining podium spots. After a few minor attacks, the main group waited for the final sprint, where Mattia Selan displayed the most speed to take 2nd place, followed closely by home skater Gal Gros from Rolerski klub Ljubljana in 3rd.
In the women's 21 km race, Dutch skater Noraly Berber Vonk—also representing the professional Rollerblade SPSPSK World Team—was in a league of her own. She built her winning gap as early as the third lap, pulling away from her sole pursuer, Serbian Mitra Branković of Inline speed skating team Extreme. Vonk maintained her rhythm all the way to the finish to seal a dominant victory. Mitra Branković kept up a high tempo throughout to comfortably secure second place. The tightest contest came in the group battle for third, where Nina Černič from Rolerski klub Ljubljana edged out French competitor Léa Réguer-Petit in a dramatic final sprint to claim the last spot on the podium.
