Desiana Caniatti and Ana Odlazek are women winners of marathon and halfmarathon

Women's race on 42km was also exciting to the line where Desiana Caniatti (Skating Club Scaligero) won the final sprint to the line in front of Monica Cais (Skating Comina Pordenone, Italy) who beat Monica Sick (LISC-2010, Austria) in photofinish. While 42km race was mostly raced with tempo as the group was always compact together, we have seen some more action in 21km where there was total Slovenian domination.

Ana Odlazek (SD Lik) continued where she left, with a strong attack after few laps, that only last year's winner Nina Černić (#ninajekul) could follow. A few laps before the end, Ana's final attack sealed her victory, while Nina Černić did enough to escape the peloton, where sprint for 3rd spot was confidently won by Tadeja Donko (Rolerski klub Ljubljana). Although complete control by Ana was expected, the easy was amazing. Peloton still had a lot of tactical games to play and Tadeja Donko once again proved that she is in good form.

Everyone had their own goal and all of participants had a chance to complete the desired distance.
